Driven by a thirst for adventure and discovery, we invited Kevin Rolland, a French professional freestyle skier and Olympic medalist from Sochi 2014, to take us on his journey through China. The itinerary included two stops: Hangzhou and Xi’an, two uniquely distinct Chinese cities. Kevin set himself the challenge of exploring the most characteristic corners of these cities, engaging in local experiences, and tasting the most unique urban delicacies—all in one day.
We had a lot of fun with this project. Our goal was to create two films that reflect Kevin Rolland’s way of enjoying Chinese culture. For this project, we collaborated with CICC and partnered with our on-ground WBD APAC creative and production teams to maximize the production quality and efficiency during our shoots.
Our aim was to minimize our carbon footprint while ensuring an immersive experience for Kevin, allowing him to authentically document his journey through Hangzhou and Xi’an.
