Let’s deep dive into Hyundai’s circular initiative in partnership with the NGO Healthy Seas, through a series of three episodes and a documentary we produced for them in 2022.
To investigate this topic, we chose key contributors with unique insights: A series of three films inviting the viewers to discover the full recycle chain in place, from underwater to the ground.
In film #1 we meet York Hovest, an ocean steward and photographer, took the first step by seeking innovative solutions to marine pollution with Healthy Seas, joining them on one of their missions to retrieve abandoned fishing nets from the sea in Greece.
The second film travels us to another country with the well-known explorer Bertrand Piccard who sought out innovative recycling solutions in Slovenia, witnessing the transformation of the nets into ECONYL: a regenerated nylon used in some Hyundai car components.
In the last film, ETCR race driver Norbert Michelisz visited the Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center, located at the world’s most famous racetrack—Nürburgring—to discuss the future of sustainable mobility in motorsports.
