About

Created for Samsung in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery’s Project C.A.T. (Conserving Acres for Tigers), this project highlights the urgent need for tiger conservation while showcasing the power of mobile technology in wildlife filmmaking. Project C.A.T. supports the conservation of nearly six million acres of tiger habitats, aligning with global efforts to help double the wild tiger population.

The initiative consists of two complementary elements: a visually stunning short film, Eye to Eye with the Tiger, and a series of “how-to” videos. The documentary follows renowned nature photographer Yashas Narayan as he journeys through India’s protected jungles, tracking and photographing wild tigers with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G. Narayan, who grew up near India’s breathtaking national parks, brings a deep understanding of big cat behavior, shedding light on the challenges these majestic animals face and the importance of continued conservation efforts.

Accompanying the film, a series of educational videos feature Narayan and director Vikram Singh as they explain the smartphone’s advanced camera features and share professional tips for capturing wildlife. Singh, an advocate for using visual storytelling to inspire change, emphasizes the role of photography in raising awareness about endangered species. By leveraging mobile technology, the project makes high-quality wildlife photography more accessible while encouraging audiences to engage with conservation efforts in meaningful ways.
